Meetings
The
Fife Support Group meets in the Maggie's Centre, Victoria
Hospital, Kirkcaldy on the third Wednesday of each month (except
July, August, December and January).
|
Meetings
are free and we usually have a guest speaker, expert in some
form of Prostate Cancer treatment and management, or in a
topic of local interest to members.
Meetings
also provide patients with an opportunity to chat informally
with fellow patients and carers over a cup of coffee.

|
New
members have brought the total of the Group to 20.
Information
leaflets about the group have been distributed to all Fife hospitals,
the Maggie's Centre and Doctors' practices.
We have issued a press release to all Fife Newspapers inviting men
with prostate cancer, and their carers, to join the Group. We hope
this will increase our membership.
We have
been informed that the Urology Centre in Ward 8 of the Victoria
Hospital will be on site for the next five years before moving back
to the Queen Margaret Hospital in Dunfermline.
