Prostate
Cancer Support Scotland works on a national level.
Educating...
By making more people aware of prostate cancer.
By encouraging much needed improvements in
early detection and treatment methods.
By ensuring that patients have enough
information to decide which course of
treatment best suits their needs and why.
By publicising in newspapers, radio and
TV, poster campaigns and leaflets, the risk
and dangers of this hidden disease and the
significance of urinary problems which may
(or may not be prostate cancer related.
(Most men are not aware of any symptoms
prior to diagnosis).
Supporting...
By providing practical and emotional
support for men and their carers affected by
prostate cancer. It is a frightening
diagnosis, but for most people prostate
cancer can be treated successfully over
many years.
By setting up local support groups, run by
men with prostate problems, their families
and carers.
Financing...
By raising the finance needed to achieve
these aims within our Scottish communities
by fund raising activities within groups, by
grants, legacies, donations and sponsorship.
We
receive Financial Support from ...
